Hi,
i am just starting to discover the world of synth.
My Question (Zebra 2): Why i get a sound only after pressing a key some times?
1. press -> no sound
2. press -> no sound
....
then i get a sound
What is the reason? What/which setting should i change?
best regards

I get this every time I reboot my computer and restart my DAW. I have to bash the keyboard for a few seconds before any synths will recieve MIDI. I believe it's a common driver problem. If it happens in all synth plugins and only at the beginning of a session, this is probably the culprit.

No no, it's all fine. I think it's the lack of Knowledge programing a synth right now.
I just don't know where to make the changes in zebra2.
There must be something simple.
Any hint would be nice.

You might have midi-learn on something.pinso wrote:No no, it's all fine. I think it's the lack of Knowledge programing a synth right now.

Try right-clicking on some knobs, and choose midi-unlearn.

hmmmm, there a lot of Knob's and etc
.
But i didn't made any midi-learn assignments.
Maybe it is a restriction from u-He, because it's in demo mode?
(Like the "out of tune" thing in demo mode)

Yes. But that would mean it only happens after some 10 minutes or so of usage.pinso wrote: Maybe it is a restriction from u-He, because it's in demo mode?

Is that the case?

Then it's not the demo restriction.pinso wrote:No, it depends on specific patches.
It can happen directly after starting zebra2 and loading a patch.
Turn off your midi controller, then use the pc keyboard to play notes.
Does it still happen then?
If not, then it might be an issue with your midi controller

Make sure you have the latest version.pinso wrote:it happens with pc keyboard
Try the right click on many knobs, then choose midi-unlearn from the popup menu.
This problem only happens with Zebra2 correct?

I checked some knobs, but like i said i didn't made any midi-learn assignments.
It happens with Diva (also demo mode) too.
But i think it must something like aftertouch, duration(time), release time or what ever.
I believe it is something simple, but i can not find it.
Thanks for help

it happens with others too.
Like i said, Vst's are ok. No problems.
It must be something like routing, release time, lfo duration (time), etc.
Similar to this thing:
press a key -> you get sound
press the same key again -> you get another sound
press the same key again -> you get another sound
press the same key again -> you get sound initial sound
like a cylce

That definitely sounds like the demo restriction. The notes Zebra plays in demo mode are C - E - B - (r) - A -- where "r" is a random note in the chromatic scale. It loops endlessly once you enter the demo mode.pinso wrote:Similar to this thing:
