Using Direct Install

I've been trying to use Direct Install with my Receptor 2 but can't get it to start. I'm using windows 7 and everytime I try to start it using the button on the receptor remote control it says I need to right click and run it as administrator. I do that but the same message comes up. Is there some other network setting in windows 7 that needs to be set to allow direct install to work?

Did you try running it under windows XP compatibility mode?

I hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a try.
Thanks

That did indeed work and I could open direct install. However, it seems the direct install system isn't aware of the new 2.01os that I have installed and says it can't figure out what os I have so it wants me to upgrade to v1.7 which is the minimum for DI. I guess Muse have to upgrade the DI system to be v2 aware before it will work.

Which version of komplete?

I was told by Muse that Direct Install is no longer functional and should not be used.
They said they will be removing it from Receptor Remote as soon as they get a chance.

Newer Receptors really don't require Direct Install... in fact direct installation of Kontakt Sample libraries works really well in the newer Receptors, and there is an FAQ video on YouTube that shows you a trick on how to do it on a Receptor 2...
