... if I posted a tune here? I can't say it's all u-he stuff, but it has Diva all the way through it (or at least, all of the parts that aren't all drums ;) ), most noticably on the pads, the rasping octave jumping sound in the "middle eight", the sync/am sounds that double up with the bassline, and the arpeggiated sound that comes in halfway.

All in all it took me about a month to put this together, there's a lot of processing on the beats and getting them all to sit together with the many layers coming and going without getting muddy or painful was the biggest challenge.

I did try posting in the Music Cafe but mostly I'm ignored there (while obnoxios newbies who've contributed nothing to KVR get multiple pages, buffoonary!).

Here's the track, it's a financially irresponsible mishmash of acid/ambient/breakbeat/jungle territory as usual.

Can I get an amen for more neo-chiptune-aphex-twin-prodigy-baroque-juno-reactor synthesized music around here? I enjoyed the heck out of that, thanks for posting. :)

(I also dig your Mega Man 2 Airman stage platform avatar...)

I sincerely enjoyed this track.

Sendy,
What kind of crazy person would post music that doesn't have all u-he synths? ;) Synths sound cool. Are those drum loops, or all MIDI stuff? What did you use for drums on this financially irresponsible song? I think this song could work well on a video, though it is entertaining on its own. If you haven't already listened to it, perhaps you could check out my recent partial u-he tune in this forum (I don't hate you).

Thanks for listening. I just don't like posting things in the "wrong" forum, but I got tired of being kicked to the curb in the Music Cafe all the time. They say "oh, you need to listen to other people's music and comment on it", so I do that... still nothin' :hihi: I guess I just have one of those faces.

The drums are heavily processed breaks, the first one is the Funky Drummer break, the other is the Amen break, but I spend a long time processing them, deconstructing them, and then re-sequencing them in a way that compliments the sound. It's a mixture of midi sequencing using Shortcircuit, combined with single shot audio to provide some "body" to the kicks and snares that doesn't vary. There are lots of group tracks, and then group tracks of those group tracks, to get the drums to play nicely with eachother and the bass. Hence why it took so long :)

I should really get away from the beats for a bit but everything I make seems to evolve into a breakbeat freakout.

Very cool track! Like the strange classic outer planet melody... breaks cool by default 8) Some great elements/details... like 2:46 lead arp.
Maybe a bit too much reverb in some parts and seq note population during focused breakbeat but that's a more subjective part..

Very cool track none-of-the-less, the last part rox! :wheee:

Thanks for the feedback. I might play with the arrangment a bit and see what I can do. The last part will probably be longer on the album version.
