MMultiBandChorus - tempo sync

Hello
I found some kind of strange behavior.
I set up a chorus. 100% wet, 2 voices, panorama, 100 spread.
At this point everything sound kind of normal.
Then I activate the sync and the sound becomes mono.
Is it supposed to act like that and then of course follows the question why?
Or have I made some really stupid mistake?

Hi, a chorus works by creating multiple voices of the same signal, each slightly different. One of the most relevant difference between voices is the modulation speed, which you just made the same for all of them
. So you need to make other differences between the voices, otherwise it will be mono.

Sorry but I still don't get it
Isn't that what a chorus do? You give a rate or tempo and delay time and depth and plugin does the rest. 2 voices are hard left and right and you get a stereo effect.

No. You may have noticed, that probably no other chorus has sync. This is because syncing the voices doesn't make so much sense, but can be exploited. A chorus tries to make different voices, but if you sync then, the voices become the same! So the voices need to be differentiated different way - using range or delay, that's all that's left. So you need to have "Range variability" and/or "Delay variability" other than 0%, otherwise it will me mono. (I just checked

Well Azurite has a tempo sync that works great.

The depht, range variabilkity and delay variability only affect left or right signal while the other stays unprocessed and dry.
When you checked did the other channel stay dry?
In Azurite both channels are affected and that I would like to hear in MMultiChorus.

These parameters do not affect channels, they affect voices. And yes, all channels are affected. Try this:
Voice: 2 or more
Spread mode: Anything except panorama, if you want panorama, use at least 3 voices
Range variability, Delay variability: Anything except 0%

OK now I hear what I wanted to
It was that panorama option. I thought it should be set to panorama in order to get that stereo sound.
Thank you again for your help

My pleasure
.
And you can use panorama, just with more voices. I'm not sure now, but I think the first voice is getting into the center or something.
