Hey guys,

been lurking for ages but have not posted. Try to find the answer to this by searching, but with no luck so apologies if this has been covered before.

I'm interested in trying to emulate the infamous z-plane filtering that the classic EMU samplers do (I know they have a software emulator to do this now, but I want to use Filterscape to achieve similar results). Can anyone step me through how to achieve z-plane like filtering with this great filter? I've looked for tutorials or how-to's to no avail and would really appreciate any insight that you folks can provide. Thanks!

I don't own Filterscape but looking at the screenshot on the U-He website it looks like you'll need to create a few snapshots then just use automation or modulation within the plugin to morph between the snapshots you've created.

Good luck.

(I hope you're making reeses! :) )

Thanks for the reply man. That's what I've been messing around with, morphing between some snapshots with notch filters while also modulating the filter type. Getting some good movement on Reeses! Also been playing with M/S & L/R EQ'ing to add some real nice movement to the bass.

Really trying to get that ripping sound.
