After Zebra2 update instruments not found in old projects

I'm hoping someone can help me with this.
I updated Zebra2 to the most recent version and removed the old Zebra2 from my vst folder. Then I opened an old project that had instances of Zebra2 and I get a message in Studio One saying "instruments not found" and it lists the three instances of Zebra in the project. Now I can manually drop the new Zebra2 to those tracks but the patches were saved via S1's .fxb manager... and when I try to load those with the new Zebra it says wrong instrument or something along those lines.
Is there a workaround for this? I hope so.
Thanks,
Daniel

Why did you have to delete anything? Usually the installer takes care of all that by overwriting the old dll with the new, unless you've chosen a different install path. If you have then that's probably why your DAW can't find it, changing where a dll is located usually leads to some sort of trouble within most DAWs. Unless I misunderstand you the easiest workaround would probably be installing Zebra 2 to where it used to be. If you refuse to or for some reason can't then it's really a support issue for the people behind Studio One.
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you on this.

Well the instructions were to take the .dll and place it in my VST folder. Which is what I did. There wasn't any kind of overwrite dialog or installer.
After I did that I was showing both Zebra2 versions in my list of instruments. I then deleted the old version because I figured I didn't need it with the new one installed. It's in the correct folder with all of my other 64bit VST's and where the old copy of Zebra2 was located.
Just to add.. this is also occurring in Live 9 so it's not a Studio One issue.

Just looking over my PC and I must have run an installer because I see the installer in the Zebra2 download folder. My memory is soo bad.
When I installed the update it left the old zebra behind. I deleted it and my old projects don't load the new zebra2 in place of the previous version I had installed.
Sorry for the confusion but my memory is terbl. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The only solution is if you had a back-up of the set ups somewhere.
You might have to run a previous copy of the entire hard drive (if you back files up that way)… if you have no back ups… well…
… you've learned a valuable lesson in computer care.
Back important files UP!
