Override VST CC assignments?

Is there any way to have BW override CC assignments? Trying to create a preset on my BCR for a plugin, however, the plugin's default CC assignments grab whatever I had already assigned within BW. For example, Arp Note Length. I assigned it via right-click in the instrument panel, but within the plugin, it also changes "Step 4 Velocity", with no way to disable or change CC assignments within the plugin.

I'd simply use the plugin's default assignments, but if I happen to use my mouse, it doesn't feed back to the controller. Bitwig's instrument panel assignments do feed back.

I guess that I could just assign the plugin's defaults to the BW instrument panel ones.

Though more work, it should be fine. If anyone has any other ideas, please chime in!
