Bazille : How to ...

Hi,
With the help of a modmap (say modmap1), I modulate the volume and the tune of one OSC.
How to achieve this with a constant volume ?
In fact I need the modmap to act like a 'gate' on the volume.
Actually the different values of the modmap affect the tune,
the values near 0 are the lower and values upward are higher (thats what I want)
But on the perceived volume, the values near 0 are quieter whereas upward values
are louder (that's normal).
I need a constant volume !
(I succeed to achieve this with modmap2 with values at max but I need to free modmap2
for another freaking modulation !)
Thanks for suggestions

Before linking to volume, send the modmap signal through a quantizer set to '1'.

Are you setting a zero value every time you want the gate to close? (Or in the case of using the quantizer this way, something below 50.) Of course, using the modseq as a amp gate requires twice as many steps so still same problem of half as many steps as you want. Maybe you can use a synced map or lfo for the volume?

Thanks for the hints.
I finally found a solution in the context of the patch i'm currently creating so the perceived
volume of the osc isn't changing too much.
But yeah, the idea is to use one modmap as an amp gate and a tuning controller at the same time.

Well I could, but in this context (Bazille patch contest #2) I already use everything else for this patch !
I'll post the patch after the contest #2
To be continued
Thanks

Hi,
Now that the patch comp #2 ended !
What I tried to do in the first post was with the patch 'Bazihills cop' in the 'loop' category of the patch comp #2.
Really interested in a solution even if in this patch the differences in level aren't too audible !
great comp by the way
