Hi all

Recently purchased the Dash synth bundle and I started to play with EVE (which was my main target).

The sound is very warm and beatiful and there are many good sounds.

The problem is that I started editing a little some sounds but I cant save the presets that Im doing in a convenient way. When I try to save a sound the only option that I see is "save presets" and when I choose that I have only the option to save the current presets as factory.

I cant save only the preset that Im doing in a new bank to create my own? If I save as factory Im overwriting the factory sounds? how it really works? Is not seems very limited? its not possible to save my own sounds?

Another thing: When I load a sound that only uses 1 or 2 sounds slots if I load another sound in the other/s slots it dont produce any sound, is that a limitation or I need to do something to be able to hear that new sound that I load in an empty slot?

Can someone help me to understand that?

Regards and thanks for a great synth with a big potential.

I believe there was a blank .fxb floating around somewhere that you can use as an init bank. Otherwise, just overwrite the factory sounds and save the bank as a new .fxb with your host.

With presets using only one sound, the other two sounds are set to midi ch. 2 in the EVE mixer - in order to save cpu usage. Change the channels back to midi ch. 1 in order to use the other two slots.

Thanks floyd for your fast and helpful response!

In other respect I have read somewhere that exists a bank called AOS with 25 new waveforms and 127 new presets. Is it free for registered users ?

Thanks another time

AOS was free /w the purchase of EVE - I think til the end of March. If you purchased EVE back then contact Dash and you should get it free. If you purchased EVE quite recently, then you have to buy AOS for $19.99. AOS is a great bank too, more retro-analog than the FK stuff but still quite cool.

Hi floyd, another time thanks for your help.

I have installed the blank bank, its great to make my own programs starting from 0. The problem remains when I start modifying a preset it keeps asking to overwrite the factory bank. I cant save to the new blank bank. :?

The problem is that each time that I save as "factory" I overwrite my previous saved sounds. Also Im worried about the original factory sounds, I will lose them?

I know that I can save as fxb/fxp in SX but it not seems a convenient way to manage my sounds...

I'm afraid using your hosts bank management is the only way I'm aware of doing it... The Save Presets switch in the EVE gui overwrites the current default factory bank with the current bank in memory. I don't think thats what you are looking for.

Sad that there is not a better and convenient option to save the presets inside EVE.

I Hope that will be improved.

Regards.

you can reload the factory bank after you have saved a user back, it's not lost

so you can have the factory bank and a custom one by EVE, for more and single preset saving you have to use fxb/fxp
