MVintageRotary- need help in getting midi to control rate in Logic X

I'm unsure of where the problem might lie in my setup. I am able to get the modulation wheel from my midi controller (Aximpro 49) to work with Kontakt, and with the Vintage B3 that comes with Logic. I just cannot seem to get it to work with MVintageRotary. I have changed the midi channel to all (from channel 1), I have tried the "Learn" function in the MIDI settings window. I haven't been able to find a way to get it to work as a plugin within the logic channel strip.
I would like to be able to control the instrument and this effect simultaneaously, is there a setting that will work? I haven't hit on it, and have had some difficulty in finding the topic addressed for Logic.
Thanks in advance.

You need to route MIDI to the plugin, which is unfortunately not that simple in Logic. Anyway here's an excerpt from our documentation:
To route MIDI to the plugin, you need to create a new Instrument track, click on the instrument slot and select the plugin from AU MIDI-controled
Effects / MeldaProduction. The plugin wil receive MIDI from that track. Then route the audio you want to process with the plugin to this track.

Ok, I tried this, but maybe I can ask a question now because of the way you phrased that. How do I route the audio in Logic from a software instrument to this new track? I think I got lost here last time, but I haven't had time to work this through till now.
In addition, I'm assuming I must enable both tracks in order to play the keyboard for the intrument (HAMMR+) and using the modulation with MVintage.
BTW, thanks for answering this almost before I hit post. Lightning has nothing on you.

Think I have it figured out. After I create that track, I need to sidechain from within this new track. I select an available bus as the input of the sidechain. I then went back to the original track, the software instrument, and I select that bus as my output. This allows me to play the B3 and use the mod wheel to control the leslie from the MVintageRotary.
I haven't used a lot of sidechaining, so it took awhile for it to come back to me. It's a shame I can't save the two tracks as their own preset within Logic, but we did get it up and running. I will need to keep a project just to be able to cut and paste this in, as I use B3 frequently.
Thanks again. I really do enjoy the sound of this Rotary over any others, and am glad to be able to use it.

Thank you parografik!
And yes, routing is one of the weak sides of Logic... nothing we can do about it, except asking Apple a get kicked into ass

Agreed. But X is a vast improvement over the last version I think. Just a little more of the boot in the butt might do.

Here is a screenshot for anyone who else who may need it. You'll see on the channel strip on the left is the Instrument I want to route to MVintageRotary, and it's output is Bus 6. On the upper right is MVintageRotary with the side chain input set to Bus6 as well. Remember to enable both tracks when you record.
