Can I Install MDrummer Small also?

I of course own MD Large. I have several friends who have asked about MD Small. I really didn't mess around with small very long before buying the big one. I want to know if I can run the free small version alongside my full version.
I want to test it a little so I can give these guys informed answers to their questions. Will it install into its own directory? Can I remove it without harming my MD Large installation? Thanks.

Hmmm, the thing is, you can install both of them, these will have separate paths, but the plugins will be a problem. MDrummer is of course designed the way, that if you use MDrummer Small and decide to upgrade, MDrummer Large will replace the Small one (even in your projects). So if you really need to do it, I'd say backup the plugin files first. After you are done with it, uninstall it and place the plugin files back.

OK, maybe I don't need to do it that bad. I don't want to create hassles for myself just to be a nice guy! I'll have to tell them to install it and play around, just like I did.

And what about to simply rename the .dll files?
Mdrummersmall.dll and MdrummerLarge.dll and rescan the plugs in you're daw maybe it 'll do the trick?

Not really. Most hosts use plugin identifiers provided by the plugin, and these are the same. As I explained - this is all done so you can smoothly transition from Small to Large.

Sadly, every host is different... sometimes they look at one thing, sometimes at another... it's a mess
