Help! Issues with "Junk" and "Favourites" in Zebra2

A few evenings ago, I went through all of my Zebra presets and marked many of them as "junk" (the obscure ones that I'll likely never use in the type of music I produce).
When I reopened Zebra (in Ableton 64-bit Mac OS X Mavericks), all of the "junk" had been returned to the preset lists.
I made sure that "hide junk" was enabled. I also opened the junk text file that lists all of the junk - that document seems to be correct, but for some reason, the presets listed in the text file as "junk" still show up in Zebra despite all the "junk" being hidden. I believe I'm having the same issues with Favourites too.
All of the presets I'm working with are under "Local" (not "User), and I recently changed the folder names (From 1 Bassics to "Bass", etc.). I'm not sure if this has affected anything or not.
I checked the manual and did not find a solution.
Help?

Yes, renaming the folders is the issue. The junk/fav database is just a text file with paths and filenames. If you change the folder name you change the path, and the presets can't be found anymore.
Another issue with changing folder names is, if you upgrade the software you run the installer and you'll get the old folders back. Then you have them twice. You can of course choose not to install presets, but then we sometimes add new ones.
Lastly, marking a HS preset as junk is of course a sacrilege

Thank you for the quick answer, Urs. I do like to have my folders/presets organized a certain way, so I went into the junk text file and edited the folder pathnames.
Thanks again and have a great day. I don't post too often on this forum, but I lurk ALL THE TIME waiting for u-he news. *cough zebra3 cough*

Cool!
We might need to figure something out for that… such as let you rename and reorder folders without actually physically renaming them.
With some luck, Bazille is good to go. Then our dev team has a few weeks on Presswerk and something else before we jump right into Z3 development

This makes me happy. I cannot tell you how often I've visited the "Zebra3" thread and re-read, re-read, just looking for news. Love the sound and features of Zebra2. Can't wait to see what you guys have up your sleeves for the next beast.
Thanks Urs!

Hello,
I am new in the world of music and Zebra and enjoying this new adventure!
Some observations on the favourites.db.txt file of Zebra2.
I recently reordered my preset folder structure/naming and noticed that in the favourites.db.txt file
The old (and no longer existing) paths were still there.
I wondered what would happen if I just removed these paths and presets from the txt file.
But as I studied the txt file I noted one long line of text, without spaces between .h2p and the next preset name (e.g., One.h2pTwo.h2p).
When I copied the whole line of text into Excel, I noticed that Excel automatically placed "Two.h2p" on the row below "One.h2p".
So Excel must know that between "One.h2p" and "Two.h2p" there must be some code we do not see when looking in the txt file.
Also, when editing the Excel file (manually added presets and paths) and copying the contents back to the favourites.db.txt file (with in the txt file "Two.h2p" still on the row below "One.h2p") all worked fine when opening Zebra afterwards.
After highlighting a new favourite in Zebra, closing Zebra, and then opening the favourites.db.txt, all was again rewritten as one long line of text.
Conclusion
* Now I found out a way to edit the favourites.db.txt file (with Excel).
* I still do not know How Excel "knew" there was a "break" between "One.h2p" and "Two.h2p".
Is there any information on this topic that would help me to organise my presets in a more efficient way and that would still allow me to restructure and rename my folders?
** BTW, I love Zebra2, for me it is a new world of possibilities and musical fun! **
