I was just wondering has anything like this come to mind to someone else..

Its just an idea where vst synths could be build so u can install someone else's components inside..

For example u have a Zebra synth with a Waldorf Wave 3.V filter! Wouldn't this be nice? :)

So every developer could sell its components/modules and people could build their own synths this way and everybody would start sounding different and not the same like now :)

Its just a vision i have, never mind if u dont like it :)

The closest thing I can think of is the Scope (formerly Creamware) modular system which is very much like a Eurorack modular system with third party modules as well. You can, for example, have Waldorf wavetable oscs run through CEM filters or whatever.

I don't think that there will be modules from developers other than u-he, though.
Who knows… (not insinuating anything, but keeping this as an option)

OTOH I know that some good peeps out there are working on something… it'll smoke contemporary CPUs, but it might become viable some time in the future.

To a small degree it is, and sometimes a big degree. I think that Brutal Electro patch from Massive has found its way into thousands of songs :)
