I made some racks with the Mudrum MUX for midichannel 10,11,12 ( as example)
All other Vsti i can volume control, but not Vst Mu drum.
How can my musicprogram control the volume of MUX Mudrum ?

Post

Can't you control the volume via the mixer strip of your music program?
Which music program are you using?

I am using Synfire Pro and in the mixer there is no volume control for Mudrum .. i did not yet tested it in Cubase.
I tested in Cubase and also the mixer strip has no volume control.
Has it to do how i setup the Mux drum ?

Post

I don't understand: A mixer strip without volume control?? The volume slider is the most basic part of a mixer strip, isn't it? Maybe i'm missing something?

Post

In Synfire pro i add a MUX vst drum track(s) and the mixer volume fader is not working there
I assigned a mux drum Vsti to a midi track in Synfire Pro..all other vsti midi tracks are working normal for volume
Must i add more stuff to the mux drum? ..or test this with a default mux drum in Synfire pro.

Could it be that Synfire does volume control via MIDI control changes instead of via an audio slider?

Post

I will ask this to the developer of Synfire ..

Yes, it does via MIDI CC 7

Post

The MUX nor the MuDrum has a default MIDI CC 7 setup. But you can map MIDI CC 7 to the MuDrum's main rack's volume slider yourself. This can be done via the MuDrum options menu -> Map MIDI Controller, select CC 7 as source and select Rack 1 -> Mixer Strip as the target module and Gain as the target parameter. If you want you can save such MuDrum setup as a preset so it's more easy to start with the same template. Hope this helps.
