Unsuccessfully trying to use step sequencer on Osc 3

I have Osc 3 set to one of the piano like presets and am trying to use Modulator 3 to evoke the step sequencer. I have tried all the modulator's parameters presets and fiddle with all of the knobs, but the sequencer is having no effect on the sound, like its not enabled. The enable button is lit up and under parameters the setting is currently OSC 3 -Shape 3-Step Sequencer-Value 10. I have tried them all to no avail. Under RATE, I'm set to SYNC, length 1/8, Straight. I've tried all these too.
It's likely I am misunderstanding what this is suppose to do. I'm trying to get OSC 3 to play sequenced high pitch notes very quickly.
I'm relatively new at this so please forgive my ignorance. Any help would be appreciated.

You're obviously using a wrong modulation target. Try this setting:

Note that the sequencer steps have been altered via the "EDIT" button next to the step sequencer fader.
In this example semitones of OSC1 is targeted but it's the same with OSC2 or OSC3. Just change the target.

I have duplicated those settings...still no sequenced notes. I have screen shots saved on my desktop but I don't know how to get them into the post. Could someone help me with that?

It def. works (tried it myself).
For image upload you could use http://imageshack.us or any other free image hoster.

If the screenshots aren't too big in size you can use the "upload attachment" function when posting here, just click where it says "upload attachment" and choose file where it says "choose" or something like that. I'm getting it in Norwegian so I can't be 100 % excactly what it says but something like that. Navigate to the file and it should hopefully be pretty simple to upload. I can post some images to show you the process step by step if you should get stuck somewhere, I just have to finish my delicious nutty icecream and yummy tea first...Marc2109 wrote:I have duplicated those settings...still no sequenced notes. Yep, as ellasi said, modulation target seems the problem.
Anyway just a little hint ellasi, you have "Global - Gain" there, disabled, but still there. I'd recommend removing it using the Delete button above it, just to safe space. The parameter is there probably because you used Learn and not Clear & learn. Anyway, just a little optimization

It is present by default upon opening MPower synth... in all Mods (1-8). Maybe the dev forgot it there.MeldaProduction wrote:you have "Global - Gain" there, disabled, but still there. But yes: For my own presets I'd delete it (to avoid confusion) but for a short test or demo I don't care.

The thing is, there must always be at least one parameter (historical reasons
), so it is there by default. But Clear & learn destroys it.
