Hi
I would love to have a simple/standard Wavetable OSC module for diva!
A Hundred of waveforms and a crossfading system (Vector/Morphing/PPG Style sweep)!!
I do not know if it was already discussed in the past, but I think it would be an (maybe) easy way to expand the sonic timbres of DIVA

Thanks!

Have you tried Zebra?

I have zebra...and ten other wavetable-based synths!
Despite this, a faithful modeling of the classic WT synths in DIVA , would be another thing! :-)

Something like the Prophet VS going into a Curtis filter emulation... I'd pay for that update. Even just a Curtis filter emu would be fab.

Yeah, another "blasphemous" update for Diva would be nice ;)

PPG and Prophet VS

I think it is less blasphemous than JP8000 oscillator module!
I don't want flexibility in DIVA.....just the general behavior (soul) of the 80's Wavetable synths!

You can get wavetable style sounds with the Supersaw oscillator. It might not be quite like a Prophet VS with the oscillator mixing function though, but you can emulate some really good digital sounds with it.

I wish U-he added a really simple PPG style wavetable module with a tab that let you load in your own wavetables. Now that would be cool!

I'm not talking about a Zebra killer, something more like Logics Retro Synth.

Not that I wouldn't go for Zebra's wavetable osc in Diva, you can get Diva's filters in The Dark Zebra (ZebraHZ) which is better, no?

As an aside, I recently picked up Waves' Codex wavetable synth, which has a decidedly "hardwareish" sound to it compared to most of the other competition. Serum isn't bad either if you go for one of the French or German hp filters.

Hmm I hear the arguments against, but still like the idea. I can understand if Uhe don't want to clutter Diva. But even something simple would be cool. A lot of vintage sounds are from digital synths right? Makes sense, and we don't usually have wavetables available with filters like the one Diva has.

I know Zebra HZ and all but still. That is a different beast.

True. Perhaps Zebra's wavetable engine wouldn't make sense in Diva at all. In going with Diva's "vintage" (though I was surprised when Diva got the JD8000 osc) vibe it might make more sense to have Diva get something like Ensoniq's Transwave engine, which to my knowledge has never been really emulated in software. Now that I'd pay extra for.

Yup. Ensoniq would make sense.

And the Ensoniq ESQ-1/M used the Curtis filter.

And a 6 op FM matrix :D

Something simple yes, just get Diva a more wide palette.
