Hi Nick at Muse,
Project Sam just came out with Orch. Ess. 2. It's available via download or USB (Dec 1). I have a Receptor 2+. Is it compatable? If it is, can I use the USB stick using the Receptors USB input to install?
Thanks Frank

Hi Frank,
We have not received a copy of Orchestral Essentials 2. Previous SAM products have worked fine on the Receptor but with all new software we cannot guarantee compatibility. I'm pretty sure that the USB install will not work. It is likely formatted to work with Windows and Mac OS but not the Receptor.
If the sample library still uses Kontakt as their engine I would say it will probably work. I am not 100% sure though, please keep that in mind before purchasing the library if you only plan to use it on a Receptor.

Hi Nick,
I just checked the Project Sam website. It seems that the requirements for Orch Essen 2 is the same as for 1. Also the compatability requirements are also the same as for ESS 1.
They said that both won't run on Windows XP just Windows 7 and 8 and yet I thought the my Receptor Pro 2+ upgrade was still Windows XP and you were able to install Essentials 1 and Symphobia. If you have the time, could you educate me?
Thanks Frank

It turns out we did receive a copy of Orchestral Essentials 2. It does not work currently because it requires the latest version of Kontakt 5 available in Komplete 10. We are still working to get Komplete 10 fully functional with the Receptor VIP/Trio/Quattro. At this time Komplete 10 will not be compatible with Receptor 2s.
