Hi,
I have several edit tabs open at the same time.
I drag & drop an edit tab on a new edit, T5 ask me "the edit has not been saved, do you want to save it now", I choose OK, after a pop op appears "failed to create edit, the source file was empty"
If I only open 2 edits, drag & drop tab OK from edit 1 to edit 2 is OK.
Edit : sometimes it does not work in this case too.
What is the problem ?
Watch videos for explanations.
OSX 10.9.

Well, I thought I'd found a solution, but now I have the silly situation where I can insert the clip at the beginning of a new track with no problem, but if I then try to insert it again immediately after the first clip, I get the problems you've been having. And if I first try to insert it anywhere but the beginning it fails, but it then works if I try to insert it at the beginning.
That was an edit clip with one audio track. I've created another with one MIDI track, with a VSTi. I can insert that anywhere, but only once on a track.
I'm afraid can't work out the logic in this at all. It seems to behave one way and as soon as I've noted it here as a possible solution, it changes.

There's a definite fault in checking whether the edit has been saved or not.
