here are some workflow optimization requests:
INSTALLATION (OS X):
1) sometimes the installer doesn't remember the original installation path. Then I have to manually select it or enter it. So remembering it always would help (as I have 16 single plugins).
2) The directory browser should also remember it's last location. If I open it, I have to navigate to the folder where my Melda plugins are installed each time. That's annoying if you have 16 several plugins and have to choose that every time again.
3) Copy & Paste in filename field: instead of choosing each time through the browser I then wanted to enter the path manually. This works so far, BUT I can't copy & paste in this field. So please make copy & paste possible in this field.
4) During installation, I'd like to minimize the installation window or send it to the background. It overlays every other window.
5) As still requested in another thread (just for completion
): One installer for all plugins (like in TotalBundle) where I can choose which one to install and where I can activate each plugin separately afterwards (as I bought them separately). Currently it's a pain to download and install each plugin separately everytime when an update comes out.PLUGINS
6) Preset browser: copy & paste in all text fields (including info). For example if I'm making my own presets and want to add the same text to each of them into the info field or have a similar preset name, I have to write that text each time again and again manually...
7) Choosing the licence: save the last chosen path where the licence files are located for all plugins and remember it when opening the file browser. In Ableton Live drag & drop of the licence file seems to be not supported. So I have to navigate to the location where the licence files are stored each time. If I'm buying a new plugin and install it, I'd like to open the browser either in the location where I opened it last time and / or have the possibility to copy & paste the path.
GENERAL (OS X)
Don't show hidden files by default. Maybe add a checkbox to also show hidden files. And remember the decision, if you open a file browser next time.9) Remember last locations in general when opening a Melda file browser. I've stored all Melda related things in nearly the same place. Also when choosing samples etc. it's better if the browser remembers the last location.
As I dig more and more in your plugins, I'm always surprised of the quality and ideas, great work...
