I have several questions about things I just can't figure out.
I use LogicProX
1) How is a side chain signal routed? I see side chain button on the Melda Plug in but I can't for the life of me figure out how to assign or route something to it.
2) I am trying to analyze a software instrument track and use it as the target in another track
a) I don't know if I should start with a preset or just the default state? (I have read through the complicated manual a few times)
I have tried repeatedly to use the copy and paste buttons (which are very small) to copy the analyzed signal from AutoDynamic eq from kick (for instance) and then copy to clipboard ,then I open an instance of AutodynEQ on the softsyth bass part- analyze that then go to target and hit paste and nothing happens?
There really should be some specific video tutorials for a few of the basic things that most people want to start with- love the plug ins but they are fairly complicated- need more specific tutorials!!

I think I got the side chain figured out in Logic (I have used side chain before in Logic) but there is also a side chain button in the pop up window that comes up when you right click on a band in the eq window?

Ok, so, you already figured out routing in Logic (it was a logic question anyway), now, the sidechain in the plugin may be enabled/disabled for every band. So basically by default all bands are "listening" to main input for dynamic processing. If you enabled the sidechain, they will be listening to the sidechain instead, but applied on the main input of course.
Regarting 2) no need for any preset, just show the "auto eq" panel, analyze source, analyze target, click equalize, done, simple
