I use modulators on many plug ins, mostly I use the envelope follower but the envelope and pitch tracking I use a lot too. Unfortunately there's no metering in the modulation windows, so it can be very difficult to set up. You have to do it by ear, which I'm sure you'll tell me is by design
but it would really speed things up if i could see what I was doing. Even if it was just a bar that went from 0% to 100% that showed what the modulator was doing, that would help set it up. Ideally though a meter that's suited to the different types (pitch, envelope, follower) would be best. Sometimes I set up something simple like use the modulator to control a band frequency so that I can easily see what it's doing... a replacement for that would help at least!While I'm on the subject of modulation, I have always had difficultly getting the 'Envelope' modulator type working correctly when using audio (not midi). Specifically I have NEVER got the 'stop' or 'stop single' to trigger, only the starts work. I've tried all sorts of settings and cannot get it working regardless of the audio or settings I use. Has anyone got it working??? Perhaps there's a bug? I'd love to use the envelope modulator as it would suit a lot of things I do... I've been putting off writing this up for a while!
