Good Morning,

I would like to ask about the CPU demands of Diva. I am extremely interested in purchasing this for my new macbook pro i will be getting on wednesday.

the specs are as follows

Macbook Pro 15" with retna display

2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
1TB Flash Storage

Please let me know if these specs are adequate for this program i will be running with Logic.

Also are there additional sound packs available for this plugin? I know with refx Nexus 2 that i purchased years ago, when i want new sounds, i purchase expansion packs from their site.

Thank you for your help and I look forward hearing form you

Kind Regards,

Joe

BTW u-he doesn't offer any expansion packs for Diva - these are all 3rd party.

I noticed that and all are relatively inexpensive (based on what i pay for nexus2 expansion packs at $65 each)

Is there a reason why they don't offer or create expansion packs for diva?

They're too busy coding their synths and effects :)

Nexus is a s preset player, it's focus is on finished sounds for ease of use.

Diva is a complete synth which you can learn to program to make your own sounds.

Some people design sounds for Diva and sell them too, you can also edit those sounds and learn from them.

If you are interested in learning to program synths check out Syntorial.

u-he's built a large enough community that they don't really need to -- the synths basically sell themselves (with some help from their great sound design staff). And there's a lot of folks here who post patches that make into that list as well.
