bought satin last week, really enjoying it.
I can get some nice tape slowdown effects by turning down the speed from 30 to the minimum of 1.875 ips. Is there some way of actually stopping the tape, or creating an effect that sounds similar to it?
Satin: tape stop effect?

hey, djj80,
hope this helps, all the best...
one might copy the resulting track (from your first step) into new one, then repeat your described step on it again, then comp it together into new track (volume automation might help, at the end of the effect too).djj80 wrote:satin

thanks for the input, Nadir. That's definitely a way to achieve the effect. I just thougth maybe it was possible using only controls of Satin, e.g. using delay mode and decreasing the distance or something like this, but it doesn't seem possible to completely "stop" the tape.

hey, djj80,
have not tried the (quite possibly working) solution described, but can imagine that it will do something similar with the help of small editing, automation, tasks done.
