Virtual MIDI out no longer works in Thesys iOS

After the latest update to Thesys for iOS I can no longer control synths with Virtual MIDI. It will show up as an input in synths apps, but synth apps won't show up in Thesys like they used to, and no sound is heard when I press play in Thesys. I have tried a handful of synths, and made sure background audio was on in those apps, and can even use other midi controller apps. Seems like this is a new bug in Thesys.

I just did a quick test using Sunrizer and Animoog and Thesys is controlling them ok. Which synths are you using?

Got it to work with Sunrizer, Animoog, Nave, by closing and opening the apps a few times. Can't get it to work with Alchemy though, which is the one app I wanted it to work with in the first place.

Again, Thesys shows up in Alchemy, but Alchemy doesn't show up in Thesys. I've tried closing them both and opening them again in different orders, and other midi controller apps can control Alchemy, but for whatever reason it won't show up in Thesys.

Try using the 'Any' Source' midi input connection in Alchemy. Make sure midi channels are correct...I selected 'Any' and was able to get the two working together. In Thesys use the Network connection.

I've seen similar issues with Thesys and iMini...a setup I really wanted to work. I don't know why there is such an issue with virtual midi in iOS. I would have thought the connection process would have been straight forward but apparently it isn't...

Yeah I tried every input, because I know iOS apps sometimes use the generic "midi out" or "midi in" instead of the specific name, but it still wouldn't work.

I did however get it to work through inter-app audio, and it appears to function the same.

Thing is I seem to remember Alchemy showing up in Thesys, and that combined with other apps not showing up (until I closed and re-opened them), I though it might be a bug in Thesys. Who knows, virtual midi in iOS is pretty fragmented and not real straightforward.

Ah well, I guess disregard this Sugar Bytes, unless maybe you all find something that needs fixing.
