Tracktioneer for the Duration

Because of health issues, most of my music making is now happening propped up in bed with my iPad. But as soon as I got the notice of the availability of V6, I happily ordered the upgrade: After surviving the long dark when Tracktion slumbered in the ground, I find I'm actually thrilled to be able to toss my modest $30 contribution toward keeping the coolest desktop DAW in the world alive. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a symbolic purchase: I love T5, and I fully expect T6 to mature and take the best songwriting tool on the planet to a whole new level. I'm happy it will be waiting for me when I'm healthy enough to get back in the game.

And speaking of health, best wishes to Dave in his battle with cancer. Late last year, I mentioned to my wife that one of the Tracktion dudes was in a band in the 80's called the Stablilizers, and if she had ever heard of the band. (I only remembered the video for 'One Simple Thing'). Amazingly, during her freshman year at college, she had a mix tape with Tyranny on one side, and Alphaville on the other, and she listened to it during her three hour drives from her university to her parent's house. (Even associating particular landmarks with specific songs.) When I tracked down the tunes online, she could still sing every song by heart after nearly 30 years. Amazing to consider the power of music, and I hope you know your music is still touching folks after all these years.
