This has been in a couple threads but it's probably worth its own... apparently the Germans are throwing some wicked party and doing this neat cross-promotion until the 7th.
  • 20% off Bitwig.
  • If you've ever bought a u-he synth/effect, check your u-he account (or make one on their site) for $50 off Bitwig. I assume this stacks with the above.
  • Buy Bitwig and get either ACE or Batzilla Bazille for free.
u-he CEO Urs Heckmann was overheard calling this promotion "So sikk bruh" as he shotgunned a fourth can of Natural Ice.

More seriously, I don't have Bitwig or Batzilla so double score for me... I think. I'm a Logic Pro user and haven't really been too unhappy with it, but neither am I married to and I'm willing to give it a shot if I can find a good reason to do so. What's so special about it? I know it doesn't have Audio Unit support but I have a wrapper so no big whoop.

well, whats special about bitwig:

- plugin sandboxing
- nested devices
- Hybrid tracks (audio+midi)
- bounce in place
- open controller API
- nice content
- proper PDC
- a nice Lemur App :clown:
- interesting routing stuff / band splitting etc
- audio rate modulation with native devices
- good support, they're listening to customer wishes
- pretty cheap for that value
- cross platform
- layered editing
- these historgrams
- lots of stuff to be expected..

that's what i can pull out of my head right now, probably more..

If you get Bitwig (and I suggest you do, my favorite DAW at the moment) and you want Bazille, be sure you don't get the "Arturia Producer Pack" version, which is excluded from the promotion. Even if you get Bitwig standalone, without an Arturia bundle, the serial you received could be an "Arturia Producer Pack" serial. Be careful and maybe ask the dealer before purchase.

Love Bitwig. Very stable and some very nice features (see post from Suloo above) but keep in mind that Bitwig is only in it's first version so you might miss some features. Personally, the only thing I missed up until now is the ability to use different time signatures in one song but more seasoned producers/musicians might miss more???

So tempting... hmm... Gonna give the demo a shot, but it would have to be pretty awesome to make me switch. :)
