really, its pretty easy assuming you can import a midi file. will do wonders for mu products when people search for their flavorite choon! purdy clever. and itll give you a challenge to re synthesize stuff with the onboard capabilities of mux etc.

Indeed, on these conditions:

* It's a great sounding cover. (not just a draft "load midi file + connect some sounds")
* No VST plug-ins, MUX sounds only.
* You make available the MuProject file so it can also be shared via mutools.com

And maybe also a nice opportunity for users to collaborate on such cover projects.

I'm a bit puzzled! What are you saying to do exactly? Download midi files of old tunes and resynthesize them? OK, great idea, but where do we get these midi files from? Is there a specific site?

I have a license already, so no video.

By the way the OP is proposing, a lot of my patches came to existence.
That means i have plenty, but most of them use VSTs.

Here is one, from M4 times actually, which led me to create those distorted guitar patches and some noise based sounds.

I am very much interested in this project to see the sounds that have to be created.

apart from the first few posts, it doesnt seem like many are actually taking the bait... looks like promotion is on you. ah well thats how it usually goes. cant expect your beta testers to do your promotion too i guess. but they will be around when theres an update for sure. and of course they should be because after all they paid for the product.

yeah? so? actually not really, the same offer is in a sticky at the top of the forum (this is just the remix) lol besides, i already have a mulab license, and have for years.

this just be a little market research on how likely mutools user base will be to show support and with what incentive... the experiment failed so far except for the usual participants. bully to them, they are always on the spot with awesome contributions! they know who they are. say no more!

Well, some of us do have jobs, family, other interests or duties. Some of us simply do not like the music of the 80s, or don't know how to make a video. With all due respect I still think those of us do know, who they are, and do not bite at every carrot.

there ya go, from the horses mouth ladies and gents, valid reasoning why no developer should expect his beta testers to do promotion for the product they already paid for. so i guess mutools stuff will just exist without promotion then! my bad for trying to get the ball rolling. this ball is where its gonna stay.

(although, this particular challenge is like the proverbial wet paper bag, not a tough one by any stretch. pity. youface vids are not hard to finger out either. thanks for illustrating my point so well!)
