Hi - like others, I was confused with the installer on one of the betas, and installed everything apparently. Now I have, a) many plugins show up that I don't own, and b) multiple versions (v8, beta versions 9, etc.) appear in the drop down.

What is the best way for them to go away, so the only ones that appear are those I actually own, or am actively trialling, or the free package?

I have not installed the final v9.

Thank you!

Hi, I'd say remove everything, check for the plugin DLLs (you apparently used different VST plugin directories or something) and install V9. You need to select what you own of course, there's no online check or anything, and there are free plugins anyway...

OK, thanks. What .dll s should I search for to "remove everything"?

There is not just one dll name - you will need to find all the Melda plug-ins and remove them. Then install only the ones you want from the v9 installer, making sure that you have selected the desired destination folder.

All the plug-ins are listed here:

OK, thanks DarkStar! I did all that, looks like things are OK.

Mr. Melda - Previous to this, all the Melda Plug-ins were in their own location when I opened an insert slot in Cubase 7.5.40, "Melda Production". Now they are scattered/located in various Cubase categories, along with many other companys' plugins - in "EQ", DYNAMICS", "TOOLS", as defined by Cubase.

I kind of liked it the previous way ... all the Melda Plugins located together ... I don't suppose there's a way to get back without upsetting the apple cart too much is there?

Actually you are talking about VST & VST3 - in Cubase VST2 plugins are in MeldaProduction folder and VST3 fit into the default categories, so for example MAutoDynamicEq is placed in EQ folder.

OK, none there now, I must have loaded a VST2 bundle in error in one of the earlier installations.

Thanks!
