Here's a funny Feature Request:
Matrix Controller for the front panel

Just like you have "Add Group Frame" you could then have "Add Matrix Controller" and in its context menu you could pick the parameter for X and Y.

It's just a little FR for way, way, way down the line, but it could be very beautiful!
