Now that the fontpanel system is significantly enhanced, it's time to release some mux presets to show those visual enhancements.

So, start putting some eye-candy into your mux presets and post them here!
Here is an example. (small screenshot=link to normal sized screenshot) + downloadable mux.

If you can not host your screenshots/muxes, please post them to "raxntrax (at) telenet (dot) be".
The purpose is to collect some nice presets and put them on a central webpage.

Once Mulbab/Mux 6.5x is officially released, we'll drop a post on the instruments forum, in order to give this wonderfull program more visibility.
(let the development continue...)

That's gorgeous, SQ4! :tu:
I hope you don't mind me saying that, but I feel like giving it a little moment to let Jo some more space to move, in case some things may be odd or off by a little and need some more adjustments. It's just a feeling, you know. When we all go nuts right now with elaborate interfaces, it'll get complicated to change anything for Jo. Not like anything is wrong right now, but I'm sure everything hasn't been tested, yet. That's why I'm holding back a little.

But it is one heck of a fun to work with it already, no doubt! I'm over the moon, especially with the new oscilloscope and what it can reveal. I might post a little example later today.

Again, though, kick ass gui there, man! :hyper:

Ok, here's a very simple AIPS demo, only to visualize what is happening, when you use it in the standard oscillator. Nothing fancy about the instrument, of course, but it's been highly educational for me! 8)

Call me a noobie, but what is AIPS? :hihi:

AH...well...the original oscillator module has this so called "AIPS" feature. It sounds a little bit like a pulse-width parameter, but it's actually a bit more complicated than that. Just look at my example up there! You can then go into the MUX > PolySynth modular area and open the Oscillator to investigate a little further.

What it seems to do is that it adds the inverted waveform, phase rotated by 360*AIPS parameter on top of itself, while it does a few things I'm not entirely sure of. Anyway, it ends up sounding very much like a pulse width offset. I don't remember, if I ever found the expansion of the acronym ... amplitude inverted pulse shift? I have no idea, hahaha...

OH YES!!! I remember it now! I should rtfm (again) before asking questions like that.

"AIPS means Add Inverted Phase-Shifted. Simply put: with a Saw, this causes Block PWM, cfr the picture below where waveform 2 is the inverted and phase-shifted version of waveform 1. But instead of limiting it only to saw waveforms to create traditional PWM, the MuTools oscillator's AIPS can be used with any waveform! And the phase-shifting can be modulated, e.g. by an LFO."

That's funny, haha...I wasn't off by too much, but isn't the traditiona PWM (PULSE WIDTH MODULATION) based on Pulse waves and not saw waves?! :| ...odd, but who cares, this is interesting and with the scope it offers quite a bit of inspiration!

Yeah, I held back on the "RTFM" front, haha! ;)

Yeah standard PWM is literally what it says, modulation of the pulse width. However, AIPS mimics that in a fairly decent way with a saw wave (as it's adding the inverse it makes a square...er...pulse...) so it "technically" is just another way of making PWM.

And yes, the scope makes this a treat to play with! :D
