Basic AutoVolume question

Been playing with the plugin a bit, and there's something I don't get: if I'm using the plugin without a sidechain, how does it determine what it should be matching the gain to? What is the measurement it's using to figure out what level to try and keep the track at?

Good question! It's just some hardwired value, which seems to be good for most cases and the actual value is irrelevant as you can just use Output gain to set it however you want .
