I have MTotalBundle, and can be quite confused with all the single plugins. I know I can select which to use/install during installation, but it would be very handy to be able to do this at other times.

How about a control-panel for all Melda plugins where it's possible to show and hide them, and why not make it able to mark some as favorites too.

A control-panel could also be perfect for selecting which interface-design to use for the single plugins, and maybe other global settings as well.

(For me this seems so obvious and idea, that I apologize if it in fact is already there, and I just haven't figured it out

)

I am in the same boat and totally +1 this. When you have the total bundle there is a lot of redundancy and in the past I've manually removed the single band versions, but of course they get readded when you update, so I just leaned to live with it.

And you can use the Style Wizard to set the default style settings for all plug-ins.

As for Favourites, move them to a different folder or flag them in your DAW host.

That's something I do when I have the time to that sort of considerations. If there was an overall control-panel letting me consider what to hide, one of the benefits would be that these preferences was remembered for the next update. Moreover using only a hide feature would make it easy to have a plugin back if needed.

The style wizard in a Control Panel would not necessarily mean the same style for all plugins.
Moving to a different folder wouldn't help much, when the next update is out (and not all DAWs has a flag option).

Yeah I get the last bit but it doesn't sound like you really use these anyway, the installer has a great control panel that does just what you want, and it does remember what is installed or not for updates too so once you have done this you don't see them again unless you decide you want them again.

Just tried to reinstall 9.05, this time I deselected a few plugins on the control panel in the installer, among these the MStereoExpander.
Afterwords I opened my DAW and found that MStereoExpander was still on the list of Meldaplugins (and I could load it too) - so at least this didn't work.

That's because they were already installed before you did this. I don't think it's also an uninstaller. Just delete them manually this time, then in future deselecting them won't keep reinstalling them.

Thanks I'll try it - but would none the less prefer an overall control panel accessible at all times, to show and hide the single plugins together with other global preference settings - let's see if it has a chance to become reality at some point.

Basically, the host is the only one that can let you select which plugins it shows. The installer is indeed the right one to deal with it. I'd personall recommend uninstalling all of the plugins (remove them manually if needed) and reinstall only those you want.

A little secret

If you are kind of a hacker

, you can try installing everything, manually deleting what you do NOT want. Then in the next update, choose "0" plugins, it will actually update all you have installed (http://www.meldaproduction.com/plugins/ ... kernel.php

). But note that this is a hack, that will make the uninstaller leave the plugins there, and who knows what will happen in the future, it's possible it will stop working some day. But it shall work for now.

And just to be absolutely certain - uninstalling (if I go that route) won't interfere with saved presets right?

You can always backup your presets, after all, nothing is 100% certain, but the installer should NOT destroy your presets anyhow.
