Hi, I tried recently Sonible Freiraum which can take out completely transient without too much artifacts from lets say a guitar riff.

But heres the problem: there is of course a swell and the chord arrives 'late'

I could waste alot of time with stretching and crossfade+editing (which is what I usually do, but its a lot of trials and error), but is there a way to bring the beginning of the swell at top level as soon as possible *without artefacts* (then I would crossfade with other chords)

Heres what I tried:
1-Moderncomp = distortion + + + + + and boominess
2-MAutovolume = 100% sensitivity, range +16, gate -60, speed (?), tricky to set lookahead :: lot of clicky artefacts
3-MDrumLeveller = almost got it, but still had artefacts I couldnt get rid of, like clicks and again *tricky to set lookahead!!*

It shouldnt be that hard with a leveller I guess? How should I set it for a normal E guitar chord short strumming with long sustain (which should also remain 'up' as long as possible)? Could save sound designer ALOT of time!! Thx

Hi,

you want to remove the initial transient from a pad, right? Well, try using MMultiBandTransient (or MTransient), just lower the attack.
With MDrumLeveler you can simply increase the lookahead to say 50ms, that usually works for these.
Or, if your pad is monophonic, you can even use pretty much any plugin with modulators and use one modulator in envelope or follower mode, attached to gain.
