How do I control MIDI wirelessly on Trio

Hello
I have a wireless router connected to my R 3io I use for GUI control. Is there a way to control MIDI through this method? There are several wireless MIDI controllers in the iApp Store for Mac and PC that need software loaded into the host computer. I believe there are some for Linux. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thank you.

Not through that method -- would require Receptor to use some sort of virtualized MIDI port -- but you might want to research "wireless MIDI receiver".
Keep in mind the latency won't be great.
It would be neat to see Receptor support something like CopperLan, but it can be a lot to wrap your head around.

Yeah… wireless MIDI is kinda dicey at this point in time, and either you risk stuck notes due to low overhead protocols with no error correction, or excessive latency for more robust systems.
There are a few systems out there… MIDIStream by Kenton, MIDIBeam from PandaMIDI, and the WIDI system from CME. All of these use proprietary techniques and none of them have been adopted or approved by the MMA (MIDI Manufacturers Association) which controls the MIDI spec, you are definitely on your own when it comes to compatibility and reliability.

Undertstood. It's a specialty project I'm working on. I will continue to use another system and connect through audio. I do experience latency now but it's ok for what we're doing.
Thanks!
Thanks!
