Hi. I'm using a multiout vst inside mux with the outs routed to separate racks. Problem is there's all these racks floating around. Is there some way to get these mux racks to show in the mix strip, or some way to tidy it up? Or can a multiout be routed to separate tracks/racks on the composition screen? Thanks-
Ps Many thanks for 6.5 Jo!

Hi,
The short answer is "no".
The longer answer is that each MuX contains everything within it and what's outside only knows about the connections (audio, event, automation), not the component parts. Also, each MuX can contain deeper and deeper levels of MuX, etc. You can't step from one of the inner depths up past the outer levels without passing through them. Moreover, MuX itself works similarly within MuLab as it does standalone as a VST - and other VST hosts have absolutely no knowledge of its inner workings, so what you're after would, for them be impossible. The only place where MuLab "is" MuX is the the modular view ("session MuX") of a project - and, indeed, the racks you have here appear in the mixing desk.
You can, of course, design a MuX front panel any only place on that the controls you're interested and then hide the messy insides
.
(Also note "track" is not equal to "rack" - they are independent. Many tracks can target the same one. One rack can feed other racks but only have one track.)

Thanks man! I whipped up a front panel showing open/close buttons for the 8 output racks. I also dragged over the volume faders to make a little strip next to it. Yeah I knew about the routing, just figured there might be some crazy workaround. The front panel will keep the lower toolbar uncluttered so thats good.
