Hi folks,

next update is here

. 9.08 comes with several new improvements, features (PowerSynth FX inside MXXX & MPowerSynth, autoset band limits, filter panorama...) and some fixes. It is recommended to install this update. To do that, get the newest version from MeldaProduction download page and use it.

Also, 2 new plugins have been released. First the free MBitFun, a brutal bit distortion, and it's multiband version MMultiBandBitFun, which is free for MTotalBundle and MCreativeBundle owners, otherwise available for a tiny introductory price as usual.

Some things stood out to me this update:

Bit fun is crazy! I've only skimmed the presets and this thing is capable of some really extreme sounds. What a great addition to the collection!

Adding powersynth to MXXX is massive, I can finally do some interesting processing ideas i had involving vocoding an input against a synth sound without having to leave MXXX. I'm sure people will come up with lots of interesting uses for this.

You added my 'auto-set band limits' feature request to the crossovers! Thank you

It's a touch difficult to use because the thresholds are calculated instantly, so even looping a small piece of audio can result in different settings each time you click it. Can i suggest a one second analysis time or something similar?

What does this mean: "Added Batch process files feature, which lets you process one or more files using each plugin." I do a lot of batch processing, so I want to understand how to get the most out of this feature.

I just briefly checked out the new features. The addition of Powersynth is amazing. There are a number of new sounds and morphs that can be produced now. This is a superb update.

vectorwarrior - I'm afraid a long analysis won't be possible, BUT you can do it for yourself

. Just open the analysis settings and increase "Averaging"

. Basically right now it responds exactly the way you set the analyser. This is quite great, because you can for example set it to simulate human auditory system using prefiltering and the crossover will start responding the same way.

As for the Batch process - check the "wav" button in the bottom right corner

. You can select a file from it or drag & drop file(s) into it and it will open them, process them by the plugin and save them back (if not wav, wav will be created).

batch processing from within the plugin, and not from within the host

What a great update!!! The MBitFun is really great - I thought MMultiBandDistortion would be good for such thigns already, but you prove us that it can be even better.

Also very nice to see PowerSynth FX as a module now. This brings in many more possibilities. I am really looking forward to MXXX as a generator / MYYY now!

MBitFun - Just me?

For the several presets I have tried, whenever I enable / disable the 4 Operations panels (especially the AND Operation) or start playback I get a pretty loud glitch (meters show +0.4dB for the AND).

Similar in the Multiband edition.

DarkStar, it IS an extremely aggressive distortion

. I don't think you meant glitches, but brutal distortion, and yes, it is for that

Just tried this out, wow, that's awesome and works incredibly well... as is often the case, you exceeded my expectations on this!

As for the batch processing... i've never seen a plugin be able to process files outside of a host before, that's pretty incredible.
