The GUI editor in version 2.3.1 Maize Sampler

Maize... you know, you 'almost' have great program, ...but IMO it really needs some fixes to make it happier.

One of these is in the GUI Editor functions.

for example, the "send to back", "bring to front" does not really work in some instances.

even though you seem to have those functions for things like the keyboard, it does not actually work.

try it yourself plz. Try to put a custom button that is just a simple single frame png file over the top of the keyboard. Try to bring that button to the front and send the keyboard to the back. It don't work for me.

Now I would suggest not only bring to front, send to back, but better yet like:
Move forward, and Move backward... so that we can create static image buttons that layer over each other.
