Hi Vojtech,

can we somehow have a latency delay module added, that adds latency on plugin level? It should report the latency to the host but internally process the signal without latency. That way we can produce output sound before the actual input signal (well not physically but that will be the result after latency compensation by the host). That way we could do cool stuff like predelay or prereverb.

There is a tool that does this, Voxengo Latency Delay, but that would be outside from MXXX, I'd prefer having it all inside MXXX.

It would be extra cool if this could be configured in musical units like 1/16th or so :-)

Cheers, Thorsten

Cool :-)

I don't know if there will be technical problems, if there is any upper limit or DAW stability issue, Voxengo only allows 1000 samples or 100 ms or so... If I am right a whole bar at 120bpm is 2000ms which is 88200 samples, which might be too much? Just mentioning. But on the other hand the linear EQ also uses about 32768 samples, isn't it?
Anyway, an upper limit might be a good idea.

It depends, for example ProTools had this limited to say 1024 samples, which is ridiculous. But in normal hosts there are no specific limits.
