You may recognize the gui (skin) that showed up recently, except this has the more complete blue pin stripes. I wondered where it would show up. Some nice OB sounds. I have no connection with Swan Audio; here is the link:

This ended up being a long thread on the kvr Instruments forum. I correctly guessed which was the real Oberheim due to the voice panning. Diva cannot do that, can it?

It's a lovely soundset! call me crazy, but it honestly sounds like video game music from the 16-bit era, especially the harps and more melodic patches. Nice! :)

Use with caution!
This preset pack may cause heavy turbulence in analog purists around you.
Also it could sound better than OB8 -- quantum effect that yet to be explained
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Yes *she* can. See 'Voice Map Modulator'.

yes voice panning essential to capture OB8 sound...I love that spread so its in all the presets and set permanently on my OB8 - about 60% spread...(100% is too much IMO) :)

analoguesamples909,
Are you the guy that came up with the Classic OB Diva preset pack? If so, did you try to pan any Diva voices in the presets? I did not know Diva could do that. I read the Diva manual concerning that after Howard brought it up, but it wasn't clear to me how to go about doing that (though I confess I did not try it yet with Diva).

yes its me - you can hear it in the demo video above and the test videos on the website

swanaudio.co.uk

you pan the voices on the trimmers page, then on the main page select voice modulation panning...

as909,
Thank you for replying! OK, I got the voices panned, but I thought I heard the real OB voices panning depending on which note gets played; maybe I'm wrong.

yes the panning of the voice changes per note played as with the OB8...

That's cool, did not know Diva could do that. I'm gonna see if I can figure out how to do that, unless someone chimes in first.

Voice Map Modulator > Pan Mod

Post

aaron - It's ridiculously simple: Go to the TRIMMERS panel and adjust all VOICE MAP MODULATOR values. Then go to the MAIN tab and select 'VoiceMap' as your Pan Mod source, turn it up...
