MXXX global crossovers vs module crossovers

I was hoping, maybe, please, that you might add the auto set crossovers feature (which is great) to the module crossover. As this is the only one I use.
In fact I'm not even sure why there is global bands anyway?
I often split into say 3 bands and then mix back together to do some further broadband processing. So I always reach for the crossover FX.
Am I missing something? Why is there global crossover? When and why would I use it?

Imagine you want some different routing in each band, the global crossover then comes handy. It's there mainly because it has 6 bands, but the next version of MXXX will have 6 lanes anyway so...
As for auto-set bands, sorry, probably not, it's not that awesome feature and the development time now got into infinite value, so I really need to be picky now...

That doesn't make sense. As we can have different routings in each band when using a module crossover too.
And with the module crossovers we can string a few together and have more than 6 bands.
So I'm still looking for a reason why I would use the global crossovers? Anyone?
By the way I'm not arguing to have the feature added (although if its easy I would like that) I'm more interested about uses for the global vs module crossovers.

Just imagine you want 6 bands, and in each you want 6 parallel FX. Sure, you can use Modular FX, but it's quite easier to use the global crossover then. Other than that it is not much useful. But you would be probably surprised how many people would ask the opposite question - why would anyone use the crossover FX instead
. People are different
. But as for me, I rather use Crossover FX too.

Any ETA on that next version of MXXX with 6 lanes? I presume this is 9.10, sounds like it has some cool new features! I've hit limitations with the four lanes a few times and I've had to use the modular system to get around it, which gets messy! Thankfully you can copy paste the contents of the modulars which makes life much easier.
I find the discussion about module verses global crossovers interesting as I've had that dilemma a few times. I always used the crossover module, because then you can do processing on the final output of the crossovers, if you use the global crossovers you can't. You may get more use out of the global crossovers if you added a global final output setup too. Like an additional set of lanes that have inputs from each of the global crossovers... you could then slap a final limiter on the output for example. But it might be a pain to find a place in the UI to add that!

The update should happen as soon as possible, but everyone is still coming with more and more FRs, it's not possible to end this
. But the next version should hopefully be the official MXXX release
.
