Hey Team,
please consider some improvement to solo/mute tracks faster.
This could be done with an option to "select track when clip is selected"
or with improvement to the mute/solo keyboard shortcuts so that they also work
when a clip is selected.
Or maybe with a "solo clip" funtion/shortcut. (A solo function on a per clip basis)
The way it is now is pretty inconvenient when working on the arranger page
and the selecting the track first so that after that the keycommand works.
Also because we only can select multiple tracks per shift-click, not with keycommands like
we can with multiple clips, this is also a hinderance.
(Maybe shift-alt-up/down should be implemented to be able to select
multiple tracks at once with keycommands?)
Also: Step-clips should also be mute-able on a clip by clip basis like everything else.
(Ideally per row, but thats another story.)
Also: Reset all solo/mute state really *shouldnt* reset solo-isolate, as this breaks all aux
and group routings all the time... Tracktion is the only DAW I know which behaves like this.
Because mixing is already, hm, lets say a *very special* thing in tracktion,
stuff like this should make this a little bit more approachable.
Maybe some food for thought....
Best,
tL.

Yeah. And one more thing that drives me nuts....
Why on earth when I have a track selected it gets deselected when I adjust volume/pan or whatever,
so that again no solo/mute keys are working so I have to select the whole thing again and again and again and again...
In that program state you could ditch the solo mute shortcuts alltogether and just go with the clicking galore.
But as I am working on a computer all day long since way over a decade I am just not so keen clicking 200000000 times a day
to do something that simple. My ***** mouse hand is going to shit anyways already, okay?
Because why would I always have to hover to the left and select the track just to use a solo/mute keyboard shortcut. All the time. Because I immediatly loose my trackselection when I do something on the track that is selected...
This doesn't make any sense. Any. At all.
Well, lets try to get constructive again: I saw something like a returnTrack from selection java action. Would it be possible to have a keycommand that at least selects the track when I have something selected on that track like a clip or in best case even the volume fader? If that would work I could put this before every mute solo command in a macro and that would help a lot already.
If not, can someone tell me if he managed to get his EuCons running with T6 on OSX?
Best,
tL.
