Quick Question on Overwriting Custom Presets

This has probably been asked here before but proper search terms elude me.

I have a few custom-tweaked presets that I placed in a new directory, but one that is probably a sibling of the directories in which the factory content was placed. If I install the everything-upgrade over my existing install, will my custom presets be preserved or should I save my "user" directory off to the side first?

They should be preserved I guess, but to be on the safe side I'd move them to <userdocuments>\SynthMaster\Presets folder
