I do hope that this is the place to announce bugs since i couldn'nt find an email adress on the tracktion site, or is there a emailadress which i can use, anyway the following bug i have found:

Dear Tracktion,

I have found a bug which is already there since version 5, and up until version 6.2.1 and with Windows 7 32 and 64 bit, and Windows 8.1 32 and 64 bit operating systems on different machines.

What happens is the following;

When recording midi in "loop mode and with replacing midi parts" all is fine and i choose the best take for playback when ready with recording . What happens now is the following:
If i do switch off loop mode and place the cursor outside the loop region and play midi notes now all midi played notes are being cut off abrupt. I find this very annoying since i would like to search for other sounds on the fly.
There is a work around by hitting the transport button and now the notes are being played as they should.
However it should not cut off notes under any circumstance is my opinion.

Could you please have alook at this? And solve this!

What is the MIDI source for these (i.e. virtual keyboard, or (specify) what MIDI keyboard), and what is the destination (i.e. external MIDI device, or .vst; in particular which .vst). Do you have any other effects (i.e. reverb) as a separate plug in, or enabled within the synth (internal or external)?

I have a maudio axiom keyboard directly hooked inside tracktion.
The same problem happens with other keyboards. It really is a bug in the tracktion code. Absolutely no effects are used. Just plain cutoff notes i get after midi loop recording it is easy to replicate. I'm sure everybody will have the same problems when exactly following the steps i desc
ribed.

Ha it doesn't matter which vsti i use. Mainly i use trillian and massive and reaktor and nuance sampler and bfd2.

For replicating purpose:
Adjust the region to record.
Set loop mode.
Record with takes.
Record the midi notes by hitting record button.
Switch off record button.
The ruler/song stops.
Put ruler outside loop region.
Play some notes and you will hear cuttof notes.
Hit the transport button and play some notes and you hear how it should sound.

you posted your bug report on a Friday at 3pm, and by Saturday 2pm you still havent had a response? wow, pretty shoddy of the programmers; they really should be keeping an eye on the forums 24/7 so they can respond to anything posted ever in less than 24 hours. in fact, i really think they should have it tested and fixed by now. shameful.

There is a sticky thread at the top of the list called "T6 feature requests and bugs", and that's the usual place. You can email support@tracktion.com too.

When you say Tracktion is not responding at all, are you talking about the program running on your computer?

I wonder if you might be a victim of the "all controllers off" mode that prevents stuck notes...

In your MIDI settings, try unchecking the "send all controllers off" - however, this might have a side-effect that if you STOP playing, some notes in a loop might continue playing... Then you have to manually hit the PANIC (or whatever it's called in Tracktion) button to do that
