is it possible to edit an audio clip in mulab? like slicing up a loop, then revesing one part, or copying a small part and repeating it? i normally use tracktion 6 and studio one pro, but i'm intriqued by mulab. i hope mulab isn't mainly a midi program.

Load the sample loop into a MultiSampla via Project menu -> Import Sample Loop, or by drag-dropping the audio loop onto the composer and choose "Sliced Audio". Then in the sequence editor you can re-arrange the slices and in the multi-sample editor you can tweak the slices themselves. To reverse a slice: Select a start marker at a higher position than the end marker, that will make the slice play reverse. You can also take advantage of the fact that MultiSampla has 4 audio outputs and so you can route slices to different effect chains.

thanks! this program is deeper than i thought. oh, and f.y.i. your g.u.i. is fine! i own ableton, s1 pro , reaper, reason, tracktion 6, and cubase. (i had too much money and was too too indecisive!) my only request would be for some traditional editing options for audio.

It's one of the options that pops up when you import an audio file. The slicing method is also used automatically when using Project -> Add Sample Loop.
