Hi,

I tried whole night yesterday but just cant get midi recording to work from my new kontakt toy SEQui2R. General midi out settings in kontakt seems to be o.k., I think I must do something wrong in general. Thats what I tried/happened:

In general I have a midi track already to show SEQui2R the right chords. That goes into a kontakt rack with SEQui2R. SEQui2R makes some sequences out of it that I then want to record and at least (with a little inconvienient workaround) could turn into a complete midi phrase that I can drop back to the track.

- midi recording from the top/main play menue does not work at all (I choose right mouse button/event recording, hit record, counts in an then nothing recorded, no sequence recorded)
I never get this to work in no mulab version over the years, ever quit at that point and searched for some other ways
- I then used a event recorder in the kontakt rack. That works in general but with two main problems: If I put it before the kontakt rack it only records the already existing midi notes on the track. If I put it behind I dont hear no monitoring. So I put it in another rack and put a send it module after the kontakt, that works in general
- now it records something from SEQui2R but the pattern changes I made with an included keyboard in SEQui2R (from C-1 to G-1) arent recorded so when I play it back the control wont work and I dont get the right phrases out

Evry help highly appreciated, I am sure I am doing something wrong in general but the description in user manual to midi recording is realy spare and dont help in this case.

Kind regards,

Richard

You need to put Kontakt and the Event Recorder module in a Mux and have the MIDI Out from Kontakt feed both the MUX event out and the MIDI recorder. Also remember to set up the Event Recorder module as needed. Event Monitor can then also be used to debug the routing.
