I just got the email announcing it today, cool!

Post

I really didn't think I would ever see this day.

OMG!

Anyone tried it yet? Does it sounds exactly the same? Has the cpu usage increased or decreased?
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Post

If you had looked in Market Thread I actually posted a bargain a month ago or so with OPX with a statement that I had had a correspondance with the developers that told me, they would release the 64-bit version this autumn ;-).

But anyway most importaint. It's there :-).

64 bit plugs sounds just like 32 bit plugs

If the 64 bit plug require more than 4GB of RAM, it can access that if you have more RAM on your computer, something that the 32 bit plug can't do.

Their former 32-bit plugin was made/compiled with SynthEdit. So they probably had to recode a lot of the plugin code to a different framework. That's why I asked about differences in sound and cpu usage ;-)

I know about the 32-bit RAM limitations, but RAM usage ≠ CPU usage.

I didn't check if they have retired the 32 bit plug?

If the last version of OP-X Pro II 32 bit was v2.1 and the 64 bit plug gets launched as v2.2, then there can be difference in sound as they are different versions.

I haven't tried it out yet, as I am still at work. I recently got a new PC so I can't wait to check it out. :)

If you have the previous one and full license, do you need fresh download links and passwords or are they already updated or is there a new upgrade fee?

There's a new user area here: http://www.sonicprojects.ch/userarea/login.html

You can login using the info he sent in your license email when you purchased it in the past. The new versions are in the user area.

There's no upgrade fee to the new version.
