Hi,

This is the demo version so maybe thats something to do with it. but i have it set to link and I've tried the channel link detection at 100% and 0% and some of the parameters are only affecting one channel. but its a bit random as some parameters seem to work ok on both channels, then others are not.

Something i'm missing?

version 3890. AAX 32. pro tools 10. OS 10.7.5

Sorry for all the questions but I'm giving this plug a thorough testing today :)

Hi Chris,

'Channel Link' determines the amount of interchannel crosstalk, respectively what the detectors in the sidechain path 'see' of the incoming stereo source. Mind you, this is not directly connected to the LINK button from the central upper part of the GUI. LINK is just like when you connect two channel faders on a mixing desk using adhesive tape to 'gang' them physically. But still, the audio in the underlying channel remains independent.

When 'Channel Link' is set to 0%, both detector paths are fed with the L & R part of the signal. When at 100%, a monaural sum is created for detection. This happens regardless of what you set up in the according channels on the interface. So, you can still adjust channels differently but have detection capture a monoraul sum. Or the other way around: treat the audio as dual-mono/stereo but adjust channels 'ganged'.

I hope I didn't express that too complicated. If it still sounds odd to you, please help us reproduce a potential issue by making a screenshot, or better: film a short sequence, perhaps using LICEcap or similar.

Thanks,
