I'm trying to get to grips with my latest melda plugin, and first dynamic EQ, MAutoDynamicEQ, and I thought a good place to start would be De-Essing. I pulled up both the De-esser 3-band preset and the De-esser 3 bands (aggressive) presets, and though they sound very different with the aggressive clamping down on the frequencies way more often, I cannot actually figure out why this is happening. Both presets seem to have the exact same setup - Same frequencies, Q, Gain, Dynamics, Attack, Release, etc. So why do they act so differently and where can I adjust this behavior?

Took me a minute to find it too
Go to the individual band settings (right click Band 3).
Dynamics -> Advanced -> General Settings -> Shape
One uses squared and the other uses linear...

Very cool! Thank you very much for showing me this somewhat hidden feature! Now this might just be a De-esser thing, but is there a way to solo just the EQ bands that are in use? I know I can use the auto-listen per band which is cool, but is there a way to auto-listen to all my eq bands to here all the frequencies being De-essed?

Diff wouldn't work, because of the phase shift. I'm afraid there's probably no direct way, but you can use the LP/HP filters (vertical red lines) to remove everything outside the range of interest.
