I'm really having trouble trying to figure out how to map the MPD 26 with Tracktion 5. Can anyone help me?

For a start, you can quickly assign the transport controls in a "custom" MIDI controller in settings.
I assume the MPD is already showing up as a MIDI device and enabled?

Create a custom one and customize .
Create an action you want (i.e. play), then hit the "play" button on the MPD, and it will be mapped to play.
Continue on for your record, rewind, pause, etc.

(I have even done this on a synth - you can use, say, the bottom octave on any MIDI keyboard - just remember that from now on, those keys can't be played until you remove the mapping...)

There may be something in the MPD setup that makes it mimic one of the pre-assigned controllers, which could make it easier.

PS - your unassigned buttons just pass straight through, so the MPD drum pads, etc, still send their MIDI note values as an input device.
