MMultibandconvolution with Bricasti IRs.

I'm starting to do some experimenting with the Bricasti M7 IRs. I was just wondering if anyone else has used these. I have yet to explore all that MMultibandconvolution can do. It's a pretty deep program, but I want to play around with the true stereo IRs and use the modulation to create some swirly reverbs...Does anyone have any favorite presets as starting points?

I think you'll find that with the true stereo (quad) IRs rather than just a stereo IR you'll actually get less pronounced swirls because true stereo already involves cross channeling. I haven't thought this through in detail for the different true stereo configurations but I'm hearing less swirl with quad.

Thanks. I haven't really considered that before. So far I have just loaded up the IRs (left to A, and right to B) and adjusted the mix. I haven't done anything with the modulation in Mmultibandconvolution. I'll some different configurations here and see what I come up with.

For example: modulating panorama such that the sound swirls like late autumn leaves in gusts of wind on dusty city concrete.ZentralmassivSound wrote:What is swirl?

Yes, you could do that and get interesting results but (just checking), do you realise that you don't need A and B to get left and right...the Bricasti L is a stereo IR, and the Bricasti R is a stereo IR.clintmartin wrote: ....So far I have just loaded up the IRs (left to A, and right to B) and adjusted the mix.....

No, I didn't realize it. I need to read up a bit on all of this. Thanks!

This is where I got the IRs.

I can't remember which ones I downloaded (it was a while ago). It is either the 24bit 48khz. or the quad 32bit 48khz.
I'll have to look into this too.

I'm sure you guys know about these, but here are some great Reverb IRs to add to Mmultibandconvolution.
